Defective Product Claim
Defective Product Claim Policy
At ASPY Hair Extensions, we take great care to ensure the quality of our products. To maintain fairness and consistency, the following policy outlines the requirements and conditions for filing a defective product claim.
1. Product Alteration and Chemical Treatments
Any application of hair color, toners, purple shampoos, or chemical treatments on ASPY Hair Extensions will void eligibility for a defective product claim.
2. Claim Submission Period
Claims must be submitted within 90 days of the purchase date, or from the date the package was received if that date is later.
Claims submitted after 90 days will not be eligible for review.
3. Use of Non-ASPY Aftercare Products
Use of non-ASPY Hair Extensions products —including, but not limited to—removers, tapes, shampoos, conditioners, or brushes, will prohibit the customer from filing a defective product claim.
To be eligible, customers must provide proof of purchase (receipts) for both the hair extensions and any ASPY maintenance products used. Failure to provide proof of purchase will result in ineligibility for a defective product claim.
4. Return and Evaluation Process
To initiate a defective product claim:
-
At least 50% of the hair must be returned for inspection.
-
Clear photos of the issue must be submitted.
-
The product must have been purchased directly from www.aspyhairextensions.com or the ASPY retail location at 653 Topsail Road, St. John’s, NL.
Returned products will be carefully inspected to determine whether the issue is a factory defect or the result of misuse. ASPY will contact the customer within 30 business days of receiving the returned product with a final determination.
If the issue is confirmed to be a manufacturer defect, the customer will receive replacement hair matching the original order.
Please note: Refunds are not provided. Replacement hair is the only resolution option.
If the issue is determined to be the result of misuse, the claim will be closed, and no replacement hair will be provided.
5. Inactive or Abandoned Claims
Claims that remain inactive—meaning no required actions (e.g., returning hair for inspection) are taken within 30 days—will be considered abandoned and permanently closed. The close date will be determined based on the last customer contact.
Closed claims cannot be reopened.
If you meet all of the above criteria, please submit your Defective Product Claim HERE.
Submission of an ineligible claim will not result in any action.
